Karnataka Power Company to Monetize Dark Fibre Network

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) plans to commercialize its surplus dark fibre network. The initiative aims to generate an estimated revenue of Rs 130 crore over 15 years. This move is also expected to enhance digital connectivity within Karnataka. KPTCL will lease its unused fibre optic cables to telecom operators and internet service providers.
