India links border situation to overall ties with China
India's Ministry of External Affairs stated that the situation on the border with China will affect the broader bilateral relationship. This statement was made amid reports of fresh military tensions and face-offs in the Arunachal Pradesh sector. While the MEA spokesperson did not confirm specific incidents, they indicated that border peace is critical to overall ties. China, meanwhile, has stated that the Sino-India border is 'generally stable at the moment'. Separately, a student body in Arunachal Pradesh reportedly blocked the border over an incident where 12 people were injured.
