Himachal Pradesh Increases Fuel Prices with New Cess
Himachal Pradesh has increased the prices of petrol and diesel by imposing a new 'Widow and Orphan Cess' of 60 paise per litre. This decision by the state government means petrol prices rose by 71 paise and diesel by 69 paise. The state government amended regulations to allow taxes up to ₹5 per litre.
