Heavy Monsoon Rains Alerted Across Multiple Indian States
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for heavy monsoon rains and thunderstorms across at least 19 states. Several regions, including Delhi, the National Capital Region (NCR), Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh, are expected to experience intense rainfall. Some areas in Madhya Pradesh have been warned of winds up to 90 km/h, with alerts specifying dates up to August 15. In Himachal Pradesh, three districts have an orange alert for heavy rain. Some schools in Madhya Pradesh are to remain closed due to the weather warnings.
