Bhopal experiences heavy rainfall, rescues, and fuel contamination incident
Bhopal received 7.5 inches of rain in 36 hours, fulfilling half of August's average rainfall in one night. Heavy rainfall led to the rescue of seven youths stranded in a strong current at the Kajli Kheda picnic spot by SDRF and police. Schools remained closed for the third consecutive day due to the downpour. Separately, a protest erupted at Bhopal petrol pumps after customers reported finding petrol mixed with water, leading to the sealing of two pumps.
