Maharashtra FDA Cancels Licences Amid Food and Drug Safety Crackdowns
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended or cancelled licences for multiple food and drug establishments across the state. Four Domino's Pizza outlets in Mumbai and Satara had their licences suspended over food safety violations. Additionally, the FDA cancelled the licenses of 10 Ayurvedic drug manufacturing firms for serious Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) violations and issued notices to 135 units. The FDA inspected 434 licensed Ayurvedic drug manufacturing establishments as part of a statewide drive.
