J&K Police reopen 1990 Kashmiri Pandit double murder case, conduct searches
The Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Investigation Agency (SIA) has reopened the 1990 case involving the killing of Kashmiri Pandit writer Sarwanand Koul Premi and his son. Searches were conducted at nine locations across the Anantnag and Rajouri districts. The killings occurred 36 years ago, with Premi and his son abducted, tortured, and shot dead. The raids took place ahead of Independence Day amid reported terror threats against minority community members in Kashmir.
