Congress spent over Rs 248 crore on 5-state polls, received Rs 207 crore
The Congress party spent Rs 248.6 crore on recent assembly elections in five states. During the election period, the party received Rs 207.1 crore, resulting in a deficit. General party propaganda constituted Rs 143 crore of the total expenditure. An additional Rs 105.6 crore was allocated for campaign activities.
