India plans major acquisitions for air force fleet modernization
India is reportedly planning to acquire 114 Rafale fighter jets in a deal estimated at $35 billion, with a significant portion to be built locally in partnership with French technology. Separately, India is also seeking 60 multirole transport aircraft through a tender valued at approximately $10 billion. The Indian Air Force is also looking to acquire 150 advanced jet trainer aircraft.
