Maharashtra Mandates Marathi Language for Transport Drivers
Maharashtra's transport department has mandated that all taxi, auto-rickshaw, and app-based cab drivers must possess practical knowledge of the Marathi language. This rule, effective from August 15, will be enforced through verification drives, with non-compliance potentially leading to license suspension.
