US States Proclaim August 15 as 'India Day'
Four US states have issued proclamations designating August 15 as 'India Day'. Delaware, New York, and New Jersey have announced this designation, with Delaware Governor Matthew Meyer noting the contributions of the Indian-American community. Massachusetts is also mentioned as having issued a similar proclamation. The proclamations commemorate India's Independence Day.
