SEBI Considers Easing Rules for Micro-Cap Company Listings
India's Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is reportedly considering significant reforms to its rules for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). The proposed changes aim to broaden eligibility criteria, increase investor participation, and reduce the costs associated with listing. These reforms could allow companies valued up to Rs 4,000 crore to list on SME platforms, remove minimum trade size requirements, and ease market-making and underwriting regulations.
