Tamil Nadu signs MoUs for over ₹67,000 crore in investments
Tamil Nadu's government signed 97 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth over ₹67,000 crore during its first 'Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave'. The agreements, which aim to create over 100,000 jobs, were exchanged at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai. Specific investments mentioned include ₹500 crore by US server maker Super Micro Computer and ₹2,000 crore by Saint-Gobain. The Phoenix Kothari Group is set to invest ₹1,000 crore in the Ramanathapuram region. The total investment figure reported by some outlets is approximately $1.58 billion.
