Netaji Statue Vandalized in Kolkata Ahead of Independence Day
A statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Kolkata's New Alipore area was found vandalized on August 14, with its arm broken. The incident occurred a day after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warned against derogatory remarks. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded a probe into the damage.
