Sukhbir Singh Badal Injured in Attack at Maharashtra Gurdwara
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was injured in an attack with a sharp object, described as a 'kirpan', at a gurdwara in Nanded, Maharashtra. A 62-year-old lawyer from Pune, identified as Jaspal Singh, was arrested in connection with the incident. Reports indicate Badal underwent surgery for approximately 90 minutes and his condition is stable. Investigators have not yet determined a concrete motive despite questioning the arrested individual. The Akal Takht Jathedar condemned the attack, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah called SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur to assure a fair probe.
