Pew Survey: India and Pakistan View Each Other as Biggest Threats
A Pew Research Center survey of 36 countries indicates that both Indians and Pakistanis perceive each other as their greatest threat. In Pakistan, 91% hold a negative view of India, while 79% in Sri Lanka have a positive view. In the US, views are divided, with 45% positive and 50% negative. The survey also found that Russia remains India's top ally, and Pakistan, rather than China, is seen as the biggest threat by most Indians. India's global favorability has seen a decline in several countries since 2025, though some improvements have occurred.
