West Bengal to Integrate Ayushman Bharat with State Health Scheme
West Bengal is set to launch the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme on August 16, integrating it with the state's own Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme. This integration will cover 1,867 hospitals across the state, allowing beneficiaries to access healthcare services nationwide under the central scheme. The state government plans to celebrate 'Ayushman Divas' on August 16. The Times of India reported that 1.2 crore Ayushman cards have been issued and 80 lakh beneficiaries are expected to receive benefits from the CM's health scheme.
