SEBI Eases InvIT Rules for Road Maintenance Funding
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has revised rules for Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs). The changes allow for debt-funded road maintenance costs to be included in the calculation of distributable cash flows. Specifically, major maintenance expenses funded through external debt can now be added back when determining distributable cash flows for InvITs.
