India and Pakistan Mark Independence Days Separately
India and Pakistan marked their respective Independence Days on August 15 and August 14, respectively. While India celebrated its 80th Independence Day, Pakistan marked 79 years of independence. Celebrations across India included patriotic fervor, cultural presentations, and parades. In Amritsar, the sub-jail staff were honored. Events also took place internationally, with the IBPC Dubai celebrating India's Independence Day and a world record being set in the New York tri-state area during India's Independence Day ceremony.
