Rahul Gandhi faces privilege notices over remarks
Rahul Gandhi has been asked to respond by August 28 to privilege notices issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The notices follow complaints by BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Sanjay Jaiswal regarding remarks made during a debate on the Public Examinations Bill and other comments. Union Ministers have also condemned Gandhi's remarks, calling them 'undignified' and 'undemocratic'. Separately, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear Rahul Gandhi's plea against an Allahabad High Court order concerning a petition alleging disproportionate assets.
