Insolvency Regulator Flags Misuse for Tax Evasion and Asset Concealment
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has identified misuse of the insolvency process. The regulator noted that the process is being exploited to evade taxes and conceal assets. IBBI has directed Insolvency Professionals (IPs) to increase their scrutiny to prevent such fraudulent activities.
