CJP volunteer's father dies in Bengal; CJP alleges BJP role, seeks justice
The father of a Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) volunteer died in Bankura, West Bengal, following an alleged assault. CJP has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of involvement, with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Congress joining calls for justice. The BJP has denied any role in the incident. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also stated there was no BJP connection to the death. Eight people, including a BJP leader, have been arrested in connection with the killing.
