Voter List Updates Face Delays and Objections Across India
Across India, the process of updating voter lists, known as the Special Summary Revision (SIR), is facing challenges. In Maharashtra, over 2.07 crore voter enumeration forms remain uncollected, with NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar alleging pressure on Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to use inputs from BJP workers for verification. In Delhi, 33% of enumeration forms were not digitized by the deadline, prompting the Delhi Congress to ask the Election Commission for details.
