Delhi Auto Drivers to Protest at Jantar Mantar for Welfare Board and Fee Rollback
Delhi auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers plan to protest at Jantar Mantar on August 17. The Delhi Auto Rickshaw Sangh, represented by general secretary Rajendra Soni, is demanding the immediate constitution of a "Auto-Taxi Drivers' Welfare Board" by the Delhi government. They also demand the withdrawal of increased vehicle fitness fees. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a proper investigation into Delhi Police FIRs related to Jantar Mantar protests.
