Indian Railways' Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Sees Strong Demand and Expansion
Indian Railways is expanding its Vande Bharat network, with the Vande Bharat Sleeper service, launched in January, receiving a strong response. The 24-coach Vande Bharat sleeper train is being reviewed as a luxury upgrade for train travel, aiming to attract premium passengers. The Vande Bharat trains are reportedly generating significant revenue, with 162 trains currently in operation. An Indian Railways PSU is also exploring opportunities to introduce the standard-gauge Vande Bharat network internationally.
