Devotees Flock to Temples for Third Monday of Shravan Month
Thousands of devotees gathered at various Shiva temples across India to observe the third Monday of the Shravan month. In Kashi, helicopter showers of flowers were organized for Kanwar pilgrims and devotees at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The Dham was also decorated with flowers and lights. Similar large crowds were reported at the Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand, and the Basukinath temple in Dumka, where authorities monitored activities via CCTV. Other Shiva temples, including those in Markachcho, Kodarma, and Buxar, also saw significant numbers of devotees.
