Supreme Court Directs SIT Probe into Ram Temple Donation Allegations
The Supreme Court has directed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to expedite its probe into alleged embezzlement of donations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The court has also allowed for public suggestions to be submitted regarding the investigation. An SIT, headed by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, was previously formed by the Uttar Pradesh government at the request of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. The SIT has submitted its final report to the Trust, and the court has asked for the probe to be concluded expeditiously.
