Tamil Nadu CM Increases Farm Loan Waiver to Rs 75,000
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin announced an increase in the cooperative farm loan waiver cap to Rs 75,000. This decision, made on the 100th day of his government's term, will benefit farmers by waiving outstanding cooperative farm loans up to this amount. The total value of the waiver is reported to be Rs 953 crore. The previous waiver limit was Rs 50,000.
