Jharkhand Cancels Graduate Exam Amid Student Protests, Hunger Strike Ends
The Jharkhand government has cancelled the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) examination following widespread student protests. Student leader Devendra Mahto ended a 16-day hunger strike after the government's agreement to cancel the exam and order an inquiry into irregularities since 2014. However, some protest leaders stated the agitation would continue, demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities.
