Jharkhand Govt Cancels Exams Amid Protests, Probe Demands
The Jharkhand government has cancelled the JSSC-CGL and other recruitment examinations following widespread protests by students and appointed candidates. The cancellations came after the State CID arrested 20 individuals, including a former JPSC Chairman, in connection with irregularities. While the government ordered an inquiry into errors since 2014, some protesting aspirants continued their agitation, demanding a CBI probe into the matter. One aspirant had been on a hunger strike, which was ended following the government's concessions.
