Building and wall collapses kill at least 5 across India
At least five people died and 19 were injured in separate building and wall collapse incidents across India. In Kolkata, a 200-year-old structure collapsed during heavy rain, killing one woman and injuring her husband. Another building collapse in Kolkata resulted in one death and 19 injuries, with rescue operations ongoing. Separately, a balcony collapse in Tollygunge killed one man. In Andhra Pradesh, a 14-year-old student died when a compound wall collapsed. In Odisha's Mayurbhanj, a woman died and her husband was seriously injured in a wall collapse.
