Supreme Court to form panel to probe CJP protest brutality allegations
The Supreme Court announced it will form a committee to investigate allegations of police brutality during protests by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP). The panel will include a former judge and a former CBI chief. The court also directed Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to provide details of First Information Reports (FIRs) filed against students. The committee's mandate is to examine claims of excessive force by police during the CJP protests.
