India Ramps Up Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal Amidst Rescue Operations
Nepal is facing severe flooding, with the death toll rising to at least 579. India has significantly increased its relief efforts, dispatching specialized tunnel rescue teams, medical support, and Bailey bridges. The Indian government has stated it is giving the highest priority to these operations. Approximately 149 Indian citizens have been rescued from Nepal, while 500 others are reported safe in China. Nepal's ambassador to Canada indicated that immediate relief is being sent to the affected region.
