Cybercriminals Defraud Mother-Son Duo of Over ₹1.5 Crore
Cybercriminals in Vadodara, Gujarat, defrauded an elderly woman and her son of over ₹1.53 crore by impersonating CBI and RBI officials. The fraudsters reportedly used the pretext of the mother's illness to manipulate a bank employee into transferring funds. Three youths in Panipat were also implicated in a separate but similar incident, allegedly tricking a bank employee into adding funds to a credit card.
