Vietnamese Farmers Diversify to Durian Amid Coffee Market Shifts
Vietnamese farmers, particularly in coffee-growing regions, are significantly increasing the cultivation of durian. The area dedicated to durian nationwide has expanded more than fivefold over the last decade, reaching 200,000 hectares. This shift occurs as Vietnam remains a major global coffee producer, trailing only Brazil in output.
