Two suspects in Ankit Balyan murder killed in police encounter
Shamli Police reported that two sharpshooters involved in the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan were killed in an encounter. Police stated the suspects were "injured by gunfire during retaliatory firing carried out by the police in self-defence." The deceased have been identified as Sumit and Mohit, who were reportedly carrying rewards of ₹50,000 each. The police are searching for two other shooters, Satyam and Aryan. The father of the victim, Ankit Balyan, described the event as "half justice served."
