Indian Navy Commissions New Deep-Sea Diving Vessel INS Nipun

The Indian Navy commissioned the deep-sea diving support vessel INS Nipun in Mumbai. The commissioning ceremony was attended by Navy chief Admiral Krishna Swaminathan. The vessel is designed to enhance the navy's deep-sea diving and submarine rescue capabilities, particularly for the Western fleet. INS Nipun joins its sister ship, INS Nistar, establishing a two-coast operational capacity. The vessel was built domestically.
