Crane Collapses and Catches Fire at Mumbai Port, Injuring Two
A crane at Mumbai Port collapsed and caught fire while lifting approximately 140 metric tonnes of cargo from a vessel. The incident occurred when a strap attached to the cargo became unbalanced and detached from one of the cranes operated by Barkat Company. Two crane operators were injured in the incident. An investigation into the incident is underway.
