Uttar Pradesh Free Bus Scheme Benefits Over 8.8 Million Passengers
Uttar Pradesh's government-offered free bus travel scheme, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan, was utilized by over 8.89 million passengers. Of these, 5.51 million were women. An additional 3.37 million passengers who traveled with women also benefited from the fare waiver. The scheme aimed to provide free travel for women and their accompanying passengers.
