Draft Voter Rolls Show Significant Deletions After SIR Exercise
Draft electoral rolls published on August 24 show a substantial number of voters excluded, particularly in Delhi where 47.7 lakh names, nearly one in three, were removed after the Special Summary Revision (SIR) exercise. Multiple individuals reported being unable to find their names on the lists. Claims and objections regarding the draft rolls are being accepted until September 30. Similar exclusions were noted in Maharashtra, with over 2.06 crore voters missing from its draft roll.
