US Supreme Court allows Trump ballroom construction to proceed
The U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, has allowed the White House to continue construction on a ballroom project associated with Donald Trump. The court lifted a lower order that had demanded a halt to the construction. Chief Justice John Roberts dissented, joining the court's three liberal justices, and wrote that the ongoing construction was 'likely unlawful.' The project is valued at $400 million. The National Trust for Historic Preservation had argued the president lacked authority for the construction.
