Food expiry date tampering racket busted in Navi Mumbai
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Navi Mumbai has busted a racket involved in tampering with expiry dates on food products. During a raid, a significant stock of items, including Maggi noodles, Lay's chips, and Kurkure snacks, was seized. The value of the seized stock is reported to be ₹75.5 lakh. The operation targeted products being sold as fresh despite having expired dates.
