Bengaluru Chicken Shops Protest New Waste Collection Fee
Chicken shop owners in Bengaluru called for a 'bandh' (strike) on Tuesday to protest a new fee for animal waste collection. The strike was called by the All India Poultry Breeders Association. The fee was reportedly introduced by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The association claims the fee is arbitrary and will impact their businesses. The BBMP has not yet officially commented on the strike or the fee.
