US Strikes Iran; Trump Claims Short Conflict, Iran Cites War Crime
Following U.S. strikes on Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump stated his military was prepared to attack Iran "any time we want" and claimed the campaign would not continue for "too long." Iran's Health Ministry reported at least 18 dead and 61 injured, including women and children, with Tehran calling the strikes a war crime. Trump also asserted U.S. control over Hormuz. In response to U.S. attacks, Iran launched missiles and drones, with sirens sounding in Kuwait. The U.S. is extending troop deployments in the Middle East.
