Rights Panel Questions Instagram Over Child Abuse Material Ads
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), led by Priyank Kanoongo, has taken cognizance of allegations that paid advertisements on Instagram facilitated access to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). The commission has sought answers from Instagram regarding its role as editor and publisher in relation to these advertisements. This action follows reports of such advertisements appearing on the platform.
