Nicaragua Congress Approves Electoral Reform Excluding Opposition
The Nicaraguan Congress has approved a reform that excludes opposition parties from participating in elections. The reform, backed by President Daniel Ortega, also extends presidential terms to seven years. It requires a second legislative vote before taking effect in January.
