EU court dismisses Opera's challenge against Microsoft Edge exemption
The General Court of the European Union has rejected a legal challenge brought by the web browser company Opera. Opera had contested the European Commission's decision to exempt Microsoft's Edge browser from certain obligations under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The court ruled that the Commission's decision was lawful, upholding the exemption for Edge. Opera's challenge argued that Edge should not have been exempted from the DMA's requirements.
