Delhi Court Grants Bail to Satyendar Jain in Corruption Case
A Delhi court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain in a corruption case related to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) tender scam. The court noted that Jain did not directly approve the tender corrigendums and that there was no direct link to alleged kickbacks at this stage. The court also observed that Jain was arrested prematurely, stating that the arrest was rushed without sufficient proof. Jain had been in custody for 27 months. The bail order comes after a prolonged period of detention.
