Gloria Steinem, Iconic Feminist Leader, Dies at 92
Gloria Steinem died on September 2, 2024, at the age of 92. She was a pioneering feminist activist, journalist and co‑founder of Ms. Magazine who shaped the modern women's movement. Tributes were issued by figures in Hollywood, Capitol Hill and other public spheres following her death. In a 2015 interview she said she had entered a new phase of life free from "the demands of gender."
