Indian Teachers to be Honored on Teacher's Day
Across India, teachers are being recognized and honored in various ceremonies coinciding with Teacher's Day on September 5. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will honor 81 teachers, while in Haryana, Governor and Chief Minister will present state teacher awards to 79 educators. Himachal Pradesh will see 26 teachers receive state awards. Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad will honor 210 teachers with the Amar Ujala Teacher Award, with Deputy Chief Minister Pathak presenting the honors on September 12. Separately, eight educators in Singapore were recognized with the President's Award for Teachers.
